Note: Recommendations for workplace architectural adaptations. Most workers are dissatisfied with their workplace design, which harms their health, well-being, productivity and social relations. Although various adaptive workplace technologies aim to manage these risks, their individual and joint impact on worker health and well-being is still unclear. The EU-funded SONATA project aims to generate evidence-based recommendations on how architectural adaptation can benefit human health and well-being in various hybrid workplace contexts. The project will measure, quantify and expand the range of health and well-being benefits of architectural adaptation, and generate empirical knowledge on how multiple adaptations should be combined to maximise these benefits. Furthermore, it will ensure that benefits are distributed in an equitable way among workers in a shared workplace.
