The impact of IVT prior to PCI on coronary artery flow (Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) score) and myocardial perfusion (TIMI myocardial perfusion score) was compared using Fisher's exact test and logistic regression analysis, adjusting for time from stroke onset to PCI.Among 71 patients with AIS undergoing PCI, those who received IVT prior to PCI for NSTE-ACS (33 women; median age 77 (66-82 IQR)) achieved a TIMI grade 3 flow more frequently than those undergoing direct PCI (97 KW - Humans KW - Female KW - Male KW - Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: adverse effects KW - Aged KW - Prospective Studies KW - Acute Coronary Syndrome: therapy KW - Acute Coronary Syndrome: complications KW - Acute Coronary Syndrome: diagnosis KW - Acute Coronary Syndrome: physiopathology KW - Thrombolytic Therapy: methods KW - Thrombolytic Therapy: adverse effects KW - Ischemic Stroke: complications KW - Ischemic Stroke: drug therapy KW - Ischemic Stroke: diagnosis KW - Aged, 80 and over KW - Fibrinolytic Agents: administration & dosage KW - Fibrinolytic Agents: adverse effects KW - Treatment Outcome KW - Coronary Angiography KW - Administration, Intravenous KW - Coronary Circulation KW - Time Factors KW - Acute Coronary Syndrome (Other) KW - Atherosclerosis (Other) KW - Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (Other) KW - Pharmacology, Clinical (Other) KW - Stroke (Other) KW - Fibrinolytic Agents (NLM Chemicals) LB - PUB:(DE-HGF)16 C6 - pmid:41022535 DO - DOI:10.1136/openhrt-2025-003567 UR - https://pub.dzne.de/record/281516 ER -
