However, diagnosis remains challenging due to variability of intellectual ability and symptom presentation. To investigate whether serum AD biomarkers enhance accuracy of the German version of the Dementia Screening Questionnaire for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (DSQIID-G), we combined test scores with neurofilament light chain (NfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) levels.Seventy-eight DS individuals (49 KW - Humans KW - Down Syndrome: complications KW - Down Syndrome: blood KW - Female KW - Male KW - Biomarkers: blood KW - Neurofilament Proteins: blood KW - Middle Aged KW - Cognitive Dysfunction: diagnosis KW - Cognitive Dysfunction: blood KW - Surveys and Questionnaires KW - Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein: blood KW - Germany KW - Intellectual Disability: blood KW - Intellectual Disability: complications KW - Aged KW - Dementia: diagnosis KW - Dementia: blood KW - Adult KW - Alzheimer's disease (Other) KW - Dementia Screening Questionnaire for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (Other) KW - Down syndrome (Other) KW - blood biomarker (Other) KW - glial fibrillary acidic protein (Other) KW - neurofilament light chain (Other) KW - screening (Other) KW - Biomarkers (NLM Chemicals) KW - Neurofilament Proteins (NLM Chemicals) KW - neurofilament protein L (NLM Chemicals) KW - Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (NLM Chemicals) LB - PUB:(DE-HGF)16 C6 - pmid:41859776 DO - DOI:10.1002/alz.71296 UR - https://pub.dzne.de/record/285734 ER -
