abstract = {Inflammasome biology has been implicated in several
diseases that exhibit underlying inflammatory processes.
                      Neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's disease,
Parkinson's disease, and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis are
known for chronic neuroinflammation in the brain. Recent
studies have shown that inflammasome activation accelerates
the neurodegeneration process in these diseases by
initiating an inflammatory chain reaction. Understanding the
biology and mechanism of inflammasome in these diseases is
crucial to devise novel treatment strategies. Here, we
present evidence for inflammasome activation, particularly
NLRP3, in these neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, we
highlight the current modulation strategies used to
                      ameliorate inflammasome activation and subsequently
                      impacting disease progression.},
