Abstract: Die primär progrediente Aphasie (PPA) ist ein Sammelbegriff für Demenzformen, die sich durch Defizite in verschiedenen Aspekten der Sprache, z. B. im Sprachverständnis, kennzeichnen. Dieser Übersichtartikel hat das Ziel, gängige Begriffe zu erläutern und aktuelle Forschungsfragen zu adressieren.| Primary progressive aphasia is an umbrella term for different forms of dementia characterized by language deficits, e. g. comprehension. The aim of this review article is to introduce established definitions and highlight current scientific caveats.
