Abstract: How does synaptic wiring depend on receptor clustering, scaffold networks, and signaling cohorts? In a recent study in Molecular Cell, Jia et al.1 demonstrate that targeting the interaction strength between the scaffold proteins, rather than the total amount of each protein component, modulates the signal propagation across the protein network.
