Abstract: MR physics computer simulation is an important tool for rapid prototyping of new ideas, validating physical models and hypotheses, RF pulse design, or the generation of ground-truth data to test novel algorithms for image reconstruction and image analysis. In addition, MR simulations enable to investigate the limits of MRI, which are sometimes hard to explore in real experiments. If the simulator software correctly models hardware imperfections, then these effects can be studied in a controlled manner. Utilizing and extending the MRI simulation framework JEMRIS, this work demonstrates realistic parallel transmission MRI simulations.
